Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis and head coach Jason Kidd are expected to return for Saturday's game against the Orlando Magic, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

Porzingis, who has missed Dallas' last seven games while in the league's health and safety protocols, is listed as probable, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Kidd entered protocols on Jan. 7 and has been unavailable for the Mavericks' last four games. Assistant coach Sean Sweeney has led Dallas to a 3-1 record while serving as acting head coach in Kidd's absence.

Porzingis, 26, is averaging 20.6 points, eight rebounds, and 1.7 blocks across 26 appearances in 2021-22.

Kidd is in his first season as Dallas' bench boss, helping the team to a 23-19 start.
