Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert took responsibility for his late-game miscue Monday on Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell's game-winning basket.

"If I don't f--- up the last play defensively, we end up with a win," Gobert said after the 105-104 loss, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

Minnesota trailed by one point with 5.9 seconds remaining when Ricky Rubio got Gobert to bite on a ball fake. The move freed up Russell, who was left all alone in the paint.

"It's totally on me," Gobert said. "(Mike Conley) was already out there. We switched, and I should have recognized that. He did what he was supposed to do, and I didn't, so 200% on me. ... Mike did exactly what he had to do, and I didn't.

"It's one of those plays, when you watch a replay, you just feel dumb. It's one of those. It doesn't happen a lot, but 100% on me, for sure."

The Jazz failed to get off a shot on the ensuing possession as Rubio and rookie Jaden McDaniels teamed up for a defensive stand.

Utah dropped all three of its matchups this season against the T-Wolves, including a pair at home.
