NBA Wednesday player props: Perfect matchups for Rozier, Valanciunas

We were one Saddiq Bey assist shy of a 3-1 night Tuesday, but we'll take a 5-4 start to the week in the player prop market.

With nine games on the board Wednesday, here are our favorite bets.

Terry Rozier over 24.5 points and 2.5 made threes

Rozier is due for a breakout. He's been held under this point total in four of his last five outings with the Hornets and hasn't shot better than 50% from the floor in any contest over that span. Wednesday's matchup should help him out plenty.

The Thunder give up both the third-most points and 3-point makes to opposing shooting guards on the ninth-highest shooting percentage in the league. Expect Rozier to make quick work of Oklahoma City's defense, especially in one-on-one assignments against Svi Mykhailiuk.

Jonas Valanciunas over 12.5 rebounds

Valanciunas' 4.3 offensive rebounds per game this season is the third-best mark in basketball, and nobody has registered more over the last 15. He's crushed this total in nine of his last 14 starts for the Grizzlies and should tally up the boards against a Hawks defense that surrenders 10.4 per contest to rank No. 27 in the NBA.

Trae Young under 3.5 rebounds

Young was one of our picks to click Tuesday, and he came through with a 30-point, 12-assist outing against the Pelicans. Tonight, we're fading him on the glass when Atlanta takes on Memphis.

Young shattered his combined point, assist, and rebound total last night despite bringing down only one board. He's been held to two or fewer rebounds in four consecutive outings and draws a Grizzlies defense allowing just 5.43 per game to point guards, which is tied for the best mark in basketball.

Mike Conley under 5.5 assists

Wednesday's matchup between the Jazz and Suns is also a duel of the league's two best defenses when it comes to allowing assists per made field goal. We'll bank on Phoenix's unit against Conley, who's been limited to five or fewer assists in eight of his last 12 starts.

Royce O'Neale under 1.5 made threes

Conley isn't the only one with a tough assignment Wednesday. Enter O'Neale, who draws a Suns defense surrendering the second-fewest makes per contest to power forwards (1.72). O'Neale has shot just 3-of-20 from the perimeter across his last five, with multiple makes in none of them.

Jaylen Brown under 5.5 rebounds

Brown has a difficult matchup on the glass against a Knicks defense allowing the seventh-fewest rebounds per game to shooting guards. The Celtics star has mustered more than five boards just twice over his last six games and should stay quiet against a unit that only gives up about 51 per game overall.
