The Atlanta Hawks have picked up a trio of contract options to secure their young core through the 2020-21 season, the team announced on Saturday.

Atlanta exercised the fourth-year option for power forward John Collins along with the third-year options for guards Trae Young and Kevin Huerter.

Collins is coming off a breakthrough sophomore season when he averaged team highs in points (19.5) and rebounds (9.8). He was a member of the NBA's All-Rookie second team in 2017-18.

Young was one of the most exciting rookies from last year's class. He posted 19.1 points while finishing fourth in the Association with 8.1 assists per game.

The Oklahoma product ended the 2018-19 campaign on a torrid stretch, averaging 24.7 points and 9.2 assists following the All-Star break. Young was a unanimous selection for the NBA's All-Rookie first team, and he finished second to Luka Doncic in Rookie of the Year voting.

Huerter also impressed during his debut NBA season. After beginning 2018-19 on the bench, the 21-year-old played an effective role while starting. Huerter posted 10.8 points per game, and he shot nearly 40% from downtown across 59 starts.
