Ciryl Gane will defend the undisputed heavyweight championship against Josh Hokit in the UFC 334 main event Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden in New York, the promotion announced Saturday.
Gane became the undisputed champion after Tom Aspinall vacated the title due to injury earlier this week. UFC CEO Dana White said Friday that Gane, who won the interim title in June, wouldn't be elevated, but play-by-play commentator Jon Anik clarified on the UFC 331 broadcast that Gane is indeed the undisputed champ.
In the UFC 334 co-main event, women's bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison will defend the belt against former champ Amanda Nunes.
Harrison and Nunes were originally scheduled to fight at UFC 324 in January, but Harrison withdrew due to a neck injury.
