2026 MLB Draft Lottery odds
The 2026 MLB Draft order will be determined by Tuesday's lottery, with the draw starting at 5:30 p.m. ET.
The Chicago White Sox (27.7%), Minnesota Twins (22.2%), and Pittsburgh Pirates (16.8%) are the three teams with the best odds to secure the No. 1 pick. The Colorado Rockies are ineligible to win the draft lottery despite finishing with MLB's worst record in 2025 as they cannot receive a lottery pick in more than two consecutive seasons.
The draft lottery was implemented in 2023. Every team that misses the postseason is initially eligible to participate in order to determine the top six selections.
Pittsburgh won the inaugural lottery and selected Paul Skenes with the No. 1 pick in 2023. Since then, the Cleveland Guardians (Travis Bazzana, 2024), and Nationals (Eli Willits, 2025) have landed the top pick.
