The Arizona Diamondbacks are open for business.

After a disappointing first half has left Arizona 11 games out of first place in the NL West, the team has made starters Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly, third baseman Eugenio Suárez, and first baseman Josh Naylor available for trades, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

All four players are pending free agents.

The D-Backs are asking for young pitching in trade talks, Nightengale adds.

Gallen is having an uneven season and heads into the break sporting a career-worst 5.40 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 8.6 K/9 rate. However, he's turned in solid starts this month, including a 10-strikeout gem against the San Francisco Giants on July 1.

The 29-year-old also comes with plenty of big-game experience, having served as the ace of the D-Backs' NL pennant-winning club in 2023. Gallen was also an NL Cy Young finalist in '23 and received down-ballot support in two other seasons.

The Toronto Blue Jays, who are reportedly seeking rotation help after ascending to the top of the AL East, have shown interest in acquiring Gallen, per Nightengale.

Kelly, 36, owns a 3.41 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 107 strikeouts over 19 starts this campaign. The seven-year veteran has spent his entire big-league career in Arizona, enjoying a dominant postseason during the D-Backs' 2023 run. Kelly is earning $7 million this season.

Suárez, 33, earned his second career All-Star berth by hitting .249/.318/.568 with 31 homers and an NL-best 77 RBIs over the first half.

Naylor, who joined Arizona in an offseason trade, owns a .295/.364/.460 slash line with 11 homers, 58 RBIs, and 11 steals over 86 games while splitting time between first base and DH. The 28-year-old Canadian was an All-Star with Cleveland in 2023.

The Seattle Mariners are also interested in trading for Naylor to plug a hole at first base, according to Nightengale.
