Seattle Mariners ace Logan Gilbert will return from the injured list Monday to start against the Boston Red Sox after recovering from an elbow injury, manager Dan Wilson said Sunday, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com.
Gilbert has been out since April 25 after suffering a flexor strain in an outing versus the Miami Marlins.
The 27-year-old All-Star should help a slumping Mariners club that has gone 4-8 in June.
Gilbert owns a 2.37 ERA with a 0.79 WHIP and 44 strikeouts over 30 1/3 innings (six starts) this season. He logged a career-high 208 2/3 innings last year before finishing sixth in AL Cy Young voting.
