The Arizona Diamondbacks and two-time All-Star shortstop Elvis Andrus agreed to a minor-league contract, according to MLB.com's Steve Gilbert.
Andrus spent the past two seasons with the Chicago White Sox. The 35-year-old slashed .251/.304/.358 with six home runs, 12 stolen bases, 39 runs scored, and 44 RBIs over 112 games last season.
Andrus made 63 appearances at second base for the White Sox in 2023 and 52 at shortstop. He'll provide the Diamondbacks with veteran depth behind second baseman Ketel Marte and shortstop Geraldo Perdomo.
Andrus is a career .269 hitter with 2,091 hits over 15 big-league seasons with the Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, and White Sox.
