The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed wide receiver Kenny Lawler to a new three-year contract that runs through 2028, the team announced Tuesday.
"We're thrilled to sign a long-term extension for one of the great playmakers in CFL history," said Tiger-Cats president of football operations Orlondo Steinauer.
Lawler's deal is worth $1 million, according to TSN's Dave Naylor. The pact reportedly marks the largest contract for a wide receiver in CFL history, excluding Rocket Ismail's deal with the Toronto Argos in 1991.
Salary for 2026 at $300k, escalates to $330K and $370K for 2027 and 2028. Deal does not include guarantees.

Lawler recorded 1,443 receiving yards last season, second most in the league. His 86 receptions also finished tied for third most in the CFL, while his 16.8 yards per reception was the highest among receivers with more than 50 catches.
The 31-year-old joined the Ticats in 2025 after spending the previous two years with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Hamilton begins its regular season against the Montreal Alouettes on June 4.
