Storm select Spain's Awa Fam with No. 3 pick in WNBA draft

The Seattle Storm selected Spanish center Awa Fam with the No. 3 overall pick in Monday's WNBA draft.
Fam, 19, plays for Valencia in the top flight of Spanish basketball and for the senior women's national team.
The 6-foot-4 big stood out against Team USA in FIBA Women's World Cup qualifiers in March, recording 10 points and five rebounds on 62.3% shooting in only 19 minutes.
Fam is viewed as a potential star with a high ceiling, courtesy of her elite length and mobility. She's also flashed efficiency in pick-and-roll and open-court scenarios.
