Clark sets single-season WNBA assist record in loss to Aces
Caitlin Clark made more history Friday evening in the Indiana Fever's 78-74 defeat versus the Las Vegas Aces.
With her fifth assist of the contest, the rookie phenom broke Alyssa Thomas' single-season WNBA record for assists.
Clark needed two fewer games than Thomas to set the new league mark.

She entered the clash averaging a league-leading 8.4 dimes and has tallied at least 10 assists on 13 occasions, including a WNBA-record 19-assist performance against the Dallas Wings.
Clark is enjoying a historic debut campaign in the pros after a stellar collegiate career with Iowa. The floor general earned her maiden All-Star nod earlier this year and is the only first-year player to record multiple triple-doubles.
She leads her peers in triples (112) and ranks ninth in scoring (19.1 per game). Her strong play has lifted Indiana to its first playoff berth in eight years.
