The Washington Mystics bolstered their frontcourt on Monday, adding UCLA center Lauren Betts with the No. 4 overall pick in the WNBA draft.
Betts is a phenomenal defensive prospect. Though her exceptional height helps make her an imposing presence in the paint, the 22-year-old is mobile and has tidy footwork and timing. She's also become more adept at guarding away from the post and has never fouled out in her 133-game collegiate career.
Additionally, the two-time first-team All-American is very efficient on offense and rarely takes bad shots. She can find shooters when double-teamed in the post.
