Roberto Luongo records first Panthers' shutout in 124 games

Robert Mayer / USA TODAY Sports

Roberto Luongo stopped 25 shots in a 2-0 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Friday, allowing Florida fans to witness something they hadn't seen in almost two years.

As per Jameson Cooper of Panthers Parkway, Florida's last shutout was recorded by Jose Theodore on March 11, 2012.

Not a bad way for Luongo to start his second tour of duty with the club, although, for the sake of context, the shutout did come against the league's lowest scoring team.
