Canadiens F Prust says he told Bishop to 'quit whining and shut up'
Montreal Canadiens forward Brandon Prust shed some light on a melee that erupted during the second period of Saturday's game after he and Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop exchanged words.
Prust on what he said to Bishop: "I’d heard him yapping all game so I just told him to quit whining and shut up. He didn’t like that...”

Prust also clarified that he did not spear Bishop.
Montreal's Prust said he didn't "spear" Bishop. "I just tried to put my stick on him and stop his momentum."

Bishop had the last laugh as the Lightning went on to defeat the Canadiens 2-1 in overtime.
For the record, Ben Bishop says Brandon Prust got him in the stomach with his stick. “It was all fun,” he said.
