GIF: Capitals G Neuvirth's diving poke check fails; hilarity ensues
Captials goaltender Michal Neuvirth thought he had a chance to play a loose puck Red Wings forward Drew Miller was tracking down in Washington's zone early in the second period of Friday's game.
Unfortunately for Neuvirth, his poke check attempt missed and he was caught well outside of the crease while Miller put the puck around behind the net and eventually tapped home Detroit's tying goal:

The sight of three Capitals players piled up when Miller taps the puck in is priceless. Perhaps Neuvirth will think twice about going for a skate in the middle of a play next time.
