The New York Jets are signing former Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright to a one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Wright gives a Jets secondary that lacked splash plays a proven ball hawk. New York failed to record a single interception last season, while Wright had a career-high five interceptions.
Wright had only started three career games prior to his breakout 2025 campaign. Before that season, he'd recorded a single interception, doing so in 2022 with the Dallas Cowboys.
The addition of Wright comes one day after the Jets added five-time Pro Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to their secondary via a trade with the Miami Dolphins. Fitzpatrick has 21 career interceptions.
