The reigning Super Bowl champions are rewarding one of the key contributors from their title run.

The Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms on a three-year, $51-million contract to bring back wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, his agents told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Shaheed's new contract includes $34.7 million guaranteed.

Seattle gave up fourth- and fifth-round picks last November to acquire the dynamic wideout and kick returner from the New Orleans Saints.

Shaheed provided an immediate impact to Seattle's stellar special teams unit and receiving corps. His top-end speed complemented the skill sets of both Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp. The 27-year-old averaged 12.5 yards per catch in nine games with Seattle.

The Weber State product signed with the Saints after going undrafted in 2022. he was named a first-team All-Pro in 2023 as a returner after racking up 723 kick and punt return yards.

Seattle keeps one of their own ahead of the official beginning of the new league year Wednesday. Kenneth Walker, Coby Bryant, and Boye Mafe are among Seahawks players who have reportedly signed with new teams.
