Bengals' Flacco active vs. Bears despite shoulder injury
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco is active for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Flacco was questionable for Cincinnati's Week 9 game reportedly because of a sprained AC joint in his throwing shoulder. He didn't practice Friday after being listed as a limited participant in Thursday's session.
The 40-year-old suffered the injury during last week's 39-38 loss to the New York Jets. He finished the game with 234 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Flacco took over the starting job from Jake Browning after the Bengals acquired him in a deal with the Cleveland Browns in early October. The veteran holds a 1-2 record in three starts with seven touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Cincinnati is 3-5 heading into Week 9 and are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the second-best record in the AFC North.
