Graham coming out of retirement to rejoin Eagles

The longest-tenured player in Philadelphia Eagles history is rejoining the team.

Defensive lineman Brandon Graham is coming out of retirement to return to the Eagles. Graham finalized a contract and will be back with Philadelphia this week.

Graham confirmed his return Tuesday on the latest episode of the "Brandon Graham Unblocked" podcast.

"I'm back one more time," Graham said. "I'm excited. No expectations, just trying to help the team."

The 37-year-old retired after the Eagles won Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year. The victory gave Graham his second Super Bowl ring as a member of the franchise.

The Eagles are in desperate need of pass-rushing help following the retirement of Za'Darius Smith and the injury to Nolan Smith.

Graham racked up three sacks in 11 games in a rotational role for Philadelphia last year.

A one-time Pro Bowler, Graham is three seasons removed from a career-high 11-sack campaign in 2022.

Philadelphia is first in the NFC East with a 5-2 record.
