Browns activate rookie Judkins ahead of Ravens game
The Cleveland Browns activated running back Quinshon Judkins, paving the way for the rookie to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
Judkins only signed with the team last week after missing training camp as the club awaited a resolution following his July arrest in South Florida on charges of misdemeanor battery and domestic violence. Prosecutors declined to pursue a case against Judkins.
He could still be disciplined by the NFL. The league is reviewing the situation and met with the former Ohio State standout this week in New York.
Judkins, selected 36th overall, was the last member of this year's draft class to sign his contract.
He practiced with the Browns this week after missing Cleveland's season-opening loss to Cincinnati, and was officially listed as questionable on Friday's injury report. But head coach Kevin Stefanski said the 21-year-old has done "everything we've asked him to do up to this point," according to Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.
His insertion into the lineup would provide a significant boost for a Browns offense that generated just 49 total rushing yards in Week 1.
