Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy suffered a dislocated shoulder in Friday's 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, and his timeline to return is uncertain, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Worthy's most likely treatment option is to wear a brace in order to return later this season, Rapoport adds. Surgery is also reportedly an option for the wideout.

Worthy was injured after colliding with tight end Travis Kelce while running a route in the first quarter of Friday's game.

His injury is the latest hit to a Chiefs receiving room that is without Rashee Rice due to suspension. Fourth-round rookie Jalen Royals also missed Week 1 with a knee injury.

A first-round pick in 2024, Worthy caught 59 passes for 638 yards and six touchdowns during his rookie campaign.

With Worthy sidelined, Hollywood Brown is expected to have an expanded role. He had 10 catches for 99 yards in the opener.
