Free-agent wide receiver Gabe Davis is scheduled to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Jacksonville Jaguars released Davis in May after signing him to a three-year, $39-million deal in 2024. He struggled in his lone season with the Jaguars, totaling only 20 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns. Davis also missed the final six games of the season due to a knee injury.

Pittsburgh has been looking for additional pass-catchers, according to Schefter. The club has reportedly had conversations with the Miami Dolphins about trading for Jonnu Smith as the tight end seeks a new contract.

The Steelers have been reworking their wide receiver room this offseason. They sent a second-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for DK Metcalf and signed the wideout to a five-year, $150-million contract. Two months later, Pittsburgh dealt George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys for multiple picks.

The Buffalo Bills drafted Davis in the fourth round in 2020. His best season came in 2022 when he hauled in 48 catches for 836 yards and seven touchdowns.
