Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano agreed to take a $3-million pay cut in 2025 and remove a year from his contract, according to Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz.

The lost money can be made up through incentives, and Milano can now reach free agency after next season, Schultz reports.

Milano has a $5.6-million guaranteed salary for 2025 after reworking his contract, per Over the Cap. He signed a two-year, $28.3-million extension in 2023.

Injuries have limited Milano to just nine total games over the past two seasons. His 2023 campaign ended early after fracturing his leg, and he tore his biceps in training camp last year. Milano returned late in 2024 and started all three of the Bills' playoff games. He recorded 17 total tackles, including two sacks, in the postseason.

Milano made the Pro Bowl and was a first-team All-Pro in 2022, his last healthy season.

The Bills recently re-signed linebacker Terrel Bernard to a four-year deal reportedly worth up to $50 million. The rising star ranked top two on the team in tackles in each of the last two seasons.
