Report: Russell Wilson visiting Browns, Giants this week
Russell Wilson will meet with two teams this week.
The veteran quarterback is visiting the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. He will then reportedly speak with the New York Giants on Friday.
Wilson, who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024, had previously been listed as an option for the Giants and Steelers. However, New York and Pittsburgh have reportedly made Aaron Rodgers their top option and are waiting for the four-time NFL MVP to make a decision regarding his future. The Minnesota Vikings have also been linked to Rodgers.
The Browns have explored their options at QB with Deshaun Watson potentially sidelined for the 2025 season because of an Achilles injury. Cleveland also recently acquired quarterback Kenny Pickett in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for passer Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
Wilson completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns against five interceptions in 11 starts for the Steelers in 2024. He helped Pittsburgh reach the playoffs, but its season ended with a wild-card loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
