Kupp: Future uncertain but 'would love' to remain with Rams
Cooper Kupp isn't sure what the next stage of his NFL career will look like, but he hopes it'll be with the Los Angeles Rams.
"Who knows what's going to happen," Kupp said Monday, according to Adam Grosbard of LA Daily News. "A lot of stuff's out of my control. We'll see what it's going to be. I don't have any clarity on what that's going to look like."
However, Kupp added that he "obviously would love to be in L.A."
Kupp is the latest Rams veteran whose status is uncertain following Sunday's divisional-round defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Matthew Stafford said postgame that he'll take some time to ponder his future, though he feels he still has some football left in him.
Los Angeles reportedly contacted teams about trading Kupp earlier this season. The 31-year-old is under contract through the 2026 season and accounts for a $29.8-million cap hit in 2025, per Spotrac.
Kupp led the NFL in receptions (145), receiving yards (1,947), and touchdowns (16) during the 2021 campaign but has struggled to stay healthy since, missing 18 games over the past three seasons. Kupp ended the 2024 campaign with 67 catches for 710 yards and six scores.
