Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith says he expects to play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, according to the Tacoma News Tribune's Gregg Bell.

Smith injured his knee in last Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers after taking a low hit while attempting a pass, though he sustained no structural damage.

The veteran added that he's "getting better every day" but admitted he will be less than 100%.

"No excuses, got to go out there and perform," Smith said.

Smith has completed 69.9% of his passes for 14 touchdowns with 13 interceptions this season.

The Seahawks are second in the NFC West at 8-6 due to the 8-6 Los Angeles Rams owning a tiebreaker over them. Meanwhile, the Vikings head into the matchup with a mark of 12-2.
