Report: Saints fear Taysom Hill sustained season-ending knee injury

The New Orleans Saints fear that tight end Taysom Hill sustained a season-ending knee in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Hill will have an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, Rapoport adds.

The versatile tight end was carted off the field in the fourth quarter after taking a hit to his left knee while running the ball on fourth-and-1.

Hill caught five passes for 37 yards while adding 10 rushing yards before exiting Sunday's 21-14 loss.

"Taysom goes down, a lot of the guys are disappointed," interim head coach Darren Rizzi said postgame, per ESPN's Katherine Terrell. "He's obviously a very respected and well-liked guy in our locker room."

The BYU product's most notable outing took place in a game against the Cleveland Brown where he rushed for 138 yards to go along with eight catches for 50 yards three totals touchdowns in a 35-14 win for New Orleans.

Hill has provided a spark for the Saints' offense this season. He's lined up as a quarterback, wide receiver, fullback, and tight end at times.

Hill produced 418 scrimmage yards and six total touchdowns in seven games entering Sunday. He's missed time with a bruised lung this season and has also battled through cracked ribs.
