The Indianapolis Colts downgraded quarterback Anthony Richardson to doubtful to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Richardson - who was originally listed as questionable - is dealing with an oblique injury and was a limited participant at practice this week. With the second-year QB likely out, veteran Joe Flacco is in line to start for Indy.

Richardson sustained the injury during last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He said he could've returned to the game.

The 2023 No. 4 pick played just four games as a rookie after a shoulder injury ended his season prematurely.

In four games this season, Richardson has completed 50.6% of his passes for 654 yards and three touchdowns against a league-high six interceptions. He's also rushed for 141 yards and one TD.

Flacco, 39, replaced an injured Richardson against the Steelers and completed 16 of 26 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns in his relief appearance. The former Super Bowl MVP put on a show with the Cleveland Browns in 2023, providing the team with a late-season offensive spark en route to being named Comeback Player of the Year.

The 2-2 Colts will also be missing Jonathan Taylor against the Jaguars, as the top running back has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.
