San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner and tight end George Kittle are questionable for the club's Week 5 contest against the Arizona Cardinals, per The San Francisco Chronicle's Eric Branch.

Warner is dealing with an ankle ailment, while Kittle is nursing an injury to his ribs.

Warner played almost every defensive snap of the team's first three contests, but he played just 44% of them against the New England Patriots in Week 4, when he sustained the injury. The 27-year-old tallied seven total tackles, a pass deflection, and a 45-yard pick-6 on 28 snaps in the win.

Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles could see extra playing time if Warner is unable to go. He recorded a season-high 72% defensive snap share against New England.

Kittle missed the team's Week 3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams with a hamstring injury but returned to the lineup against the Patriots. He caught all four of his targets for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Backup tight end Eric Saubert is next in line to start if Kittle is ruled out for the contest.
