Las Vegas Raiders rookie cornerback Damon Arnette is in danger of missing a month and a half after aggravating a thumb injury in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The first-round pick - who entered the season with a broken thumb and has been wearing a cast - will reportedly visit a specialist Tuesday. He could be placed on injured reserve, which requires at least a three-week absence.

Arnette apparently reinjured his thumb while falling awkwardly against New England.

The Raiders selected Arnette from Ohio State with the No. 19 overall pick in this year's draft.

Through three games, the first-year corner racked up 14 tackles and one pass breakup, establishing himself as a key piece in a youthful Raiders secondary.
