Red Wings F Abdelkader leaves game after head shot by Penguins D Engelland
Late in the first period of Saturday night's game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings, Penguins defenseman Deryk Engelland made heavy contract with the head of Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader on a neutral zone check.

Engelland was assessed a match penalty on the play, and will likely face a disciplinary hearing for a rather blatant violation of rule 48. Abdelkader meanwhile was helped down the tunnel by Red Wings trainers...
