The Knicks will have to survive without the services of center Tyson Chandler for the month of November.
During last night’s game versus Charlotte, Knicks center Tyson Chandler suffered a small non-displaced fracture of the right fibula.

Further tests this morning showed no ligament or nerve damage. Surgery is not required. He is expected to be out approximately 4-6 weeks.

Chandler picked up the injury during the first quarter of the Knicks' game versus the Bobcats on Tuesday.
New York may now be forced to start Andrea Bargnani at center, a move that should leave Knicks fans shuddering when you think about the Italian big man's inability to defend. But with Amar'e Stoudemire, who can only play limited minutes at the moment, and Kenyon Martin as the team's only other options, Bargnani will likely be bumped to the five.
In the four games Chandler has played this season, he's averaged 7.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, and 1.3 assists.
