Born on May 3, 1921, Sugar Ray Robinson competed between 1940-65 and is widely considered the best pound-for-pound boxer of all time.
Robinson started his career in incredible fashion, quickly racking up a record of 85-0 as an amateur, with a blistering 69 knockouts. He turned pro at 19 and from 1943-51, Robinson won 91 fights in a row - the third longest run in boxing history.
