Oregon pulled off one of the most stunning wins of the year Saturday in Columbus, reeling off 38 straight points versus Ohio State to win 41-28 and give the Buckeyes a three-loss season for the first time since 2011.
The Ducks played like a team with nothing to lose, as Dan Lanning gambled early and often en route to victory. A crucial fake-punt conversion late in the second quarter led to a touchdown, and Lanning took another risk on the final play of the first half to give the Ducks another score and a halftime lead.

Oregon quickly added another touchdown to begin the second half and push the lead to 10, which proved to be insurmountable given how rough Ohio State's offense looked with Luke Fahey at quarterback.
The Ducks' 38-0 run is something fans in Columbus haven't seen at home this century.

Ohio State found itself ranked 12th in the initial CFP projection earlier this week, but the team's blowout loss should all but end its chances of obtaining a playoff berth.
There's plenty of blame to go around on the Buckeyes' side, beginning with their woefully inept offense that's struggled heavily without Julian Sayin. Ohio State's 14 first-quarter points offered a glimmer of hope following last week's one-touchdown performance versus USC, but the next 45 minutes of Saturday's game told the real story.
On the Buckeyes' eight drives during Oregon's scoring barrage, they gained a total of 74 yards on 40 plays. Fahey, in particular, looked like a true freshman, struggling with his reads. The team's offensive shortcomings even caused Jeremiah Smith to have an angry outburst toward the sideline.
With the Buckeyes' offense going stagnant, their defense needed to rise to the occasion, and for the second straight week, it couldn't. The Ducks, led by backup quarterback Dylan Raiola, put up 395 yards of total offense and scored five touchdowns and a field goal on their last nine drives of the game.
