Travis Hunter exits vs. Colorado State due to injury
Colorado was without Travis Hunter for the second half of Saturday's game against Colorado State after the star two-way player was taken to local hospital for further evaluation of an undisclosed injury, according to the ESPN broadcast.
Hunter took a late shot in the first half and needed help in making it to the sideline. The Rams' Henry Blackburn was penalized for a personal foul on the play. Hunter would come back in the game later in the frame, but didn't return for the second half.
The late hit drew the ire of many on social media including LeBron James, who called it blatant and uncalled for.
Like I don’t understand the difference between targeting and what I just witnessed. I’ve seen others get thrown out for far less. That was blatant and uncalled for IMO!

Losing Hunter is arguably the most impactful absence in the nation as he was playing over 120 snaps per game between his time as a wide receiver and cornerback. However, the Buffaloes were able to overcome his injury and storm back for a dramatic win in double overtime.
