Michigan has fired co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Matt Weiss, the school announced Friday, per Chris Vannini of The Athletic.

The dismissal comes amid a police investigation into Weiss for alleged computer access crimes.

The Wolverines placed Weiss, 39, on leave Tuesday after the school's police told ESPN's Pete Thamel and Dan Murphy that it was looking into a potential crime committed in December at Schembechler Hall, the team's football facility.

Weiss said in a statement that he was "fully cooperating with investigators."

"I look forward to the matter being resolved," he said. "Out of respect for the integrity of the investigation, I will not have any further comment."

Michigan hired Weiss as its quarterbacks coach in 2021 before also giving him the co-offensive coordinator role alongside Sherrone Moore for the 2022 campaign.

Weiss previously spent 2009-2020 with the Baltimore Ravens in various assistant roles.

The Wolverines have made it to the College Football Playoff in the last two seasons but have fallen short in the semifinals both times.
