Report: USC's Dart enters transfer portal
USC quarterback Jaxson Dart has entered the transfer portal, according to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports.
Dart completed 61.9% of his passes for 1,353 yards and nine touchdowns against five interceptions through six appearances this past season, his first with the Trojans. He also added two scores on the ground.
The former four-star recruit played mostly behind Kedon Slovis, who recently transferred to Pittsburgh after a three-season stint at USC.
Dart's exit leaves former four-star prospect Miller Moss as the only quarterback on the Trojans' current roster. Moss had only one brief appearance in 2021.
Dart is the latest to join what's been an eventful transfer portal for quarterbacks. He instantly becomes one of the top signal-callers available in a group headlined by former Oklahoma passer Caleb Williams.
USC's next starter will be coached by Lincoln Riley, one of college football's top quarterback whisperers. Riley, who left Oklahoma to join USC in November, has helped turn several quarterbacks into superstars, including Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts.
