Travis Goff named Kansas' new athletic director
Travis Goff has been named the new athletic director at the University of Kansas, the school announced on Monday.
Goff replaces former athletic director Jeff Long, who mutually parted ways with the school on March 10. Long left following a scandal involving Les Miles, and the former head football coach's subsequent dismissal.
Goff spent nine years at Northwestern prior to joining the Jayhawks' athletic department, most recently serving as the deputy athletic director/assistant vice president for development. He's a Kansas alum after graduating from the school in 2002.
Despite the gap between Long's firing and Monday's announcement, Kansas' athletics department remained busy. Beyond the notable coaching news in the football program, men's basketball head coach Bill Self signed a lifetime contract with the school this past Friday.
