Andrej Stojakovic committed to the Fighting Illini over North Carolina and Stanford.
The 6-foot-7 wing is fresh off a breakout sophomore year with California, averaging 17.9 points, 4.7 boards, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 blocks over 29 appearances. He was named to the All-ACC Tournament first team after dropping 33 points per contest across a pair of games.
Stojakovic entered the portal after the 2024-25 campaign.
"I think the main reasons were pretty clear to my inner circle as a basketball fit," Stojakovic told ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Jonathan Givony. "Coach (Brad) Underwood has been very aggressive recruiting me from the start and constantly reiterating how much I'm wanted and needed as a basketball player there.
"They really believe I'm the missing piece to what they think is a national championship team."
Stojakovic was a top-25 recruit and McDonald's All-American coming out of high school. He spent his freshman year at Stanford before making the move to Cal.
Stojakovic joins a Fighting Illini program that has a strong track record with bigger playmakers and international prospects. He's projected to have a major role this upcoming season with Kasparas Jakucionis and Will Riley heading to the NBA.
Illinois lost to Kentucky in the second round of this year's NCAA Tournament.
