Texas Tech transfer and former five-star recruit Nimari Burnett will play for Alabama next season, he told Shams Charania of The Athletic on Thursday.
The 6-foot-4 guard averaged just 5.3 points per game over 12 appearances as a freshman for the Red Raiders before leaving the program due to personal reasons on Jan. 7.
The Crimson Tide are fresh off a 26-7 season, resulting in a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advancing to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2003-04.
