Stephen F. Austin's men's basketball team is among 15 Division I athletic programs facing a postseason ban due to low Academic Progress Rates, the NCAA announced Tuesday.

From 2015-16 through 2018-19, the Lumberjacks failed to reach a 930 four-year APR, a score which predicts, on average, a 50% graduation rate for a given team.

Stephen F. Austin will serve its postseason ban in 2021-22, a source told Stadium's Jeff Goodman.

The Lumberjacks were one of the best mid-major teams in the nation last season, posting a 28-3 overall record, including a thrilling road victory over No. 1 Duke.

Stephen F. Austin went 19-1 in conference play to earn the top seed in the Southland Conference Tournament.
