The NBA has suspended Atlanta Hawks rookie guard Kingston Flemings one game for intentionally elbowing New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce McGowens, the league announced Sunday.
Flemings was assessed a technical foul and ejected in the fourth quarter of the Hawks' 121-99 loss to the Pelicans on Saturday night at Smoothie King Center.
He'll serve the suspension Monday on the road against the Indiana Pacers.
Flemings was running back on defense next to McGowens when he suddenly struck him in the head. It sparked an on-court altercation between the two teams, leading to officials reviewing the incident.
