Hawks' Kuminga to be re-evaluated after All-Star break

Atlanta Hawks forward Jonathan Kuminga, who sustained a left knee bone bruise Jan. 22, will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break, the team announced Saturday.

Kuminga suffered the injury when he was still a member of the Golden State Warriors. The ailment kept him sidelined for his last five games with the team.

Atlanta acquired Kuminga and sharpshooter Buddy Hield from Golden State in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis on the eve of the NBA trade deadline.

Kuminga had spent his entire career in the Bay Area after being selected seventh overall in 2021. He's averaging 12.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists across 20 appearances this season.

The Hawks have until June 29 to exercise Kuminga's $24.3-million team option for the 2026-27 campaign.
