LaVar wants Clippers to acquire sons: 'Let's go get this championship'
LaVar Ball believes his sons could be the key to helping the Los Angeles Clippers win an NBA championship.
The elder Ball posted a video on Instagram petitioning for the Clippers to acquire all three of his sons - Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball, and free agent LiAngelo Ball - and suggested the team could recreate what the Indiana Pacers have done this season.
"Can't nobody beat my three boys playing fast," LaVar said. "Guess what, Indiana Pacers are in the God dang Finals doing what? Playing that speed game, what I done taught my boys from day one. Can't nobody beat my boys together.
"So the Clippers, bring them God dang Ball boys home and let's go get this championship and quit messing around. All you fans who want a championship back in L.A., yes, whole new arena with the Ball boys. Who ain't gonna come watch that show? ... If you want a championship, (Steve) Ballmer, I'm talking to you. Go get them Ball boys and let's ball."
Lonzo and LaMelo are under contract with their respective teams through next season, but both have been the subject of trade rumors recently. Lonzo even predicted that his younger brother could land with the Clippers in a trade.
The Clippers went 50-32 this season to secure the fifth seed in the Western Conference and their third consecutive playoff berth. They were eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the first round.
