Stephen Curry only has one thing on his mind now that his NBA career is beginning to wind down.

Ahead of his 37th birthday Friday, the Golden State Warriors star spoke about his desire to win a fifth NBA championship.

"Somebody asked me this summer, like, 'What are you still playing for?' That's literally the only thing you're playing for," Curry said during an appearance on 95.7 The Game's "Steiny & Guru" show Wednesday.

The Warriors have been on a roll since acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline, posting a 12-2 record. However, Curry knows there's still work to be done.

"I like where we're at right now. I think we have what it takes to do it, but I'm not fast-forwarding to say we're a championship team right now because we have another level to get to before we get to a playoff-type environment," Curry said. "I'm excited about that challenge. All I wanted to be was in the fight. All I wanted was a chance."

The Warriors enter Thursday's game against the Sacramento Kings sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference standings at 37-28.
