Hornets' Miller done for season after undergoing wrist surgery
Charlotte Hornets wing Brandon Miller will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign after undergoing surgery to repair a ligament in his right wrist, the team announced Thursday.
The Alabama product tore his scapholunate ligament during a 117-112 win against the Utah Jazz on Jan. 15.
The 2023 No. 2 pick also dealt with a glute injury and lingering ankle problems this season. Charlotte is just 3-10 in 13 games without Miller.
Miller averaged 21 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 27 games this campaign. He was Charlotte's second-leading scorer, trailing only star guard LaMelo Ball. The 22-year-old also knocked down 3.9 triples per contest, the fifth-highest mark in the Association.
The Hornets sit 13th in the East with an 11-29 record. They're scheduled to host the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.
