All is not well in the City of Brotherly Love.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey challenged Joel Embiid to be on time for team activities during a club meeting following Monday's 106-89 loss to the Miami Heat, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Maxey apparently spoke about how Embiid being late "for everything" was affecting both the players and the coaching staff.

The reigning Most Improved Player is said to have a close friendship with Embiid, and they've previously held each other accountable, Charania adds.

"Tyrese loves Big Fella, but this is the elephant in the room," a person involved in the meeting told Charania.

Veteran guard Kyle Lowry called for the meeting after the 76ers dropped to 2-11 this season, sources told Charania.

Players apparently asked Nick Nurse to be coached harder, while the bench boss and his staff requested more purpose and attention to detail from the roster during practice.

While Embiid accepted responsibility for his actions, the former MVP stated that he's confused at times about what the team is trying to execute on the court, according to Charania.

Philadelphia has lost four in a row and is tied with the Washington Wizards for the NBA's worst record.
