The Sacramento Kings are re-signing Sixth Man of the Year finalist Malik Monk to a four-year, $78-million contract, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.

Monk's deal is the maximum allowable, according to Wojnarowski, and it prevents him from becoming a free agent on July 1.

After an up-and-down start to his career, Monk blossomed into one of the best bench players in the NBA. He set a career-high with 15.4 points and 5.1 assists per game last season. The 26-year-old also made 35% of his threes, marking the fourth straight campaign he hit that total.

With the Monk deal, the Kings' 10 leading scorers from last season are all under contract in Sacramento for 2024-25.
