New York Knicks wing Josh Hart was assessed a flagrant-2 foul and ejected in the first quarter of Friday's contest against the Chicago Bulls for an apparent kick on Javonte Green.

As Hart was driving to the basket, he lost possession of the ball and subsequently made contact with Green.

The Bulls forward was visibly shaken up but remained in the game.

Referee Scott Foster said Hart's contact to Green was "excessive," leaving the Knicks player in disbelief.

Hart was making his 30th consecutive start for the Knicks. He had one board and one assist in 11 minutes prior to being ejected.
